AERIAL POLE ACADEMY'S INCEPTION
Elizabeth Domazet, the founder of Aerial Pole Academy, established the academy in 2012. Her vision was to create a studio that would reflect a style that would complement the Australian Pole Championships, which she had created in 2011. Elizabeth's goal was to provide a welcoming space that embraced all styles of pole dancing, with a focus on athleticism, dance, and the artistic aspects of pole and aerials. Additionally, she aimed to provide a dedicated training space for competitors to enhance their pole skills and techniques.
Located in the picturesque Kingston precinct of Canberra, Aerial Pole Academy quickly became one of the world's largest studios. It was purpose-built for pole dancers and aerialists, offering a comprehensive range of styles, aerial apparatus, dance, and strength and flexibility classes. The academy's success led to expansion in 2016, with the opening of a second site in Fyshwick within the 24-hour space of Gold's Gym. Subsequently, Aerial Pole Academy Belconnen was established in 2019, followed by Aerial Pole Academy Canberra City in 2020 and Aerial Pole Academy Woden in 2021. In 2022, Aerial Pole Academy made history by creating and constructing the world's first dedicated 24-hour pole training studio in Belconnen, Canberra.
Continuing its growth and success, Aerial Pole Academy has exciting plans for 2024. Two new luxury studios have opened a 24 hour studio in St Kilda Melbourne and a luxury aerial & dance studio in Belconnen Canberra. Further expanding the academy's reach and providing more opportunities for pole and aerial enthusiasts to engage with the Aerial Pole Academy experience.
